About
The precious last words of revolutionary Black artist and activist Elizabeth Catlett will soon be available as a limited edition printed hardcover book.
Presented as an art book, the edition contains an intimate collection of never before shared words written by the artist in her own handwriting. Collected writings include her entire unpublished memoir, select love letters and her most notorious speeches.
The journey to find Catlett’s never before seen memoir, was just as intriguing as the process of bringing the writings to life in the documentary film “Elizabeth Speaks.” A forward is included by co-author, Naima Mora detailing her remarkable journey home to Mexico where she found her grandmother’s last masterpiece.
